THE LAND OF MY DREAM
It was a new day,
When I woke up in the morning
To find myself again in this tragic world,
People are born to die
The Sun rises to set
The flower blossoms to wilt,
And these are all what I see and hear about ;
War,
blood,
death,
grief,
oppression,
failure,
infidelity
and lies
There is no place for love
There is no place for peace
There is no place for serenity
There is no place for optimism
There is no place for hope
So I wish I could leave this unfair place
And fly away on the wings of imagination to the land of my dream
Where people love eachother
Where people feel for the other
Where the land is green
Where the air is clean
Where nothing is impossible
Where everything is possible
Where I am you
Where you are me
Where all is one, and one is all
Where both space and time are mine
Where my heart and my soul shine
Where everyone is really fine
On the land of my dream,
My past was good,
My present is better,
And my future will be the best.

We're all trapped. Each of us is stuck being who we are. Sometimes we fight to change ourselves, but ultimately this has little effect. We can change what we do, but we cannot change who we are. If you're a happy person, you don't feel trapped. If you're surrounded by people who you love and who love you, if you can do what you want to do in life, if you are at peace with who you are, why would you ever feel trapped? You wouldn't want to change yourself, you wouldn't need to try.

Sometimes when your friends fight, you're forced to choose sides even when you don't want to.
Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.
we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.
sometimes when you're angry you have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give you the right to be cruel.
just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, it doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.
no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

True Story
My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight mini skirts and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when near me and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else. One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome.
She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door. I opened the door and stepped out of the house. I walked straight towards my car. My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family."
The moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car.

A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, rocks about 2" in diameter.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was. The students laughed. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
"Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this is your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else, the small stuff.
"If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
But then a student then took the jar which the other students and the professor agreed was full, and proceeded to pour in a glass of beer. Of course the beer filled the remaining spaces within the jar making the jar truly full.
The moral of this tale is: no matter how full your life is, there is always room for beer.

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a
cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon
began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to
investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile
of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Moral of the Story -
[1] Not everyone who s**ts on you is your enemy.
[2] Not everyone who gets you out of s**t is your friend.
[3] And when you're in deep s**t, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

In life we do things. some we wish we had never done, some we wish we could replay a million times in our heads, but they all make us who we are. And in the end, those experiences shape every detail about us. If we were to reverse any of them, we wouldn't be at the exact place that we are today. So just live. Make mistakes, and have wonderful times but never ever second guess who you are, where you have been, and most importantly, where it is that you are going...

Paradoxes of our time
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings
but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints.
We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees
but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts,
yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too
much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too
angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little,
watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but
reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too
often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We've added years to life not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and
back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered outer space but not inner space.
We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul.
We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.
We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less.
We've learned to rush, but not to wait.
We build more computers to hold more information, to
produce more copies than ever,
but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and
small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce,
fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers,
throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies,
and pills that do everything
from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the
showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.

Wedge formation is particularly good for calvary Charge
but in the movie '300' i noticed they used the wedge formation to defend themselves.
if they built a strong wall covering the narrow path leading to the Sparta and station themselves on top of the hills they would have lasted longer. A perfect example for the quote "all brawn no brain"

A good leader inspires other men and women with confidence. A great leader inspires them with confidence in themselves.
Successful leaders see the opportunities in every difficulty rather than the difficulty in every opportunity.
A leader is one who sees more than others see, who sees farther than others see, and who sees before others see.

Chapter 1: Winning Strategies
- Deceive the sky to cross the ocean (Traditional Chinese: 瞞天過海; Simplified Chinese: 瞒天过海; Pinyin: Mán tiān guò hǎi)
Moving about in the darkness and shadows, occupying isolated places, or hiding behind screens will only attract suspicious attention. To lower an enemy's guard you must act in the open and hide your true intentions under the guise of common every day activities. - Besiege Wèi to rescue Zhào (Traditional Chinese: 圍魏救趙; Simplified Chinese: 围魏救赵; Pinyin: Wéi Wèi jiù Zhào)
When the enemy is too strong to be attacked directly, then attack something he holds dear. Know that in all things he cannot be superior. Somewhere there is a gap in the armour, a weakness that can be attacked instead.
The origins of this proverb is from the Warring States Period. The state of Wèi attacked Zhao and laid siege to its capital Handan. Zhào turned to Qí for help, but the Qí general Sun Bin determined it would be unwise to meet the army of Wèi head on, so he instead attacked their capital at Daliang. The army of Wèi retreated in haste, and they were ambushed and defeated at the Battle of Guiling, with the Wèi general Pang Juan slain on the field. - Kill with a borrowed knife (Traditional Chinese: 借刀殺人; Simplified Chinese: 借刀杀人; Pinyin: Jiè dāo shā rén)
Attack using the strength of another (in a situation where using one's own strength is not favourable). Trick an ally into attacking him, bribe an official to turn traitor, or use the enemy's own strength against him. - Substitute leisure for labour (Traditional Chinese: 以逸待勞; Simplified Chinese: 以逸待劳; Pinyin: Yǐ yì dài láo)
It is an advantage to choose the time and place for battle. In this way you know when and where the battle will take place, while your enemy does not. Encourage your enemy to expend his energy in futile quests while you conserve your strength. When he is exhausted and confused, you attack with energy and purpose. - Loot a house on fire (Chinese: 趁火打劫; Pinyin: Chèn huǒ dǎ jié)
When a country is beset by internal conflicts, when disease and famine ravage the population, when corruption and crime are rampant, then it will be unable to deal with an outside threat. This is the time to attack. - Make a sound in the east, then strike in the west (Traditional Chinese: 聲東擊西; Simplified Chinese: 声东击西; Pinyin: Shēng dōng jí xī)
In any battle the element of surprise can provide an overwhelming advantage. Even when face to face with an enemy, surprise can still be employed by attacking where he least expects it. To do this you must create an expectation in the enemy's mind through the use of a feint.
Zhuge Liang (181 - 234) was one of the greatest Chinese strategists of the Three Kingdoms era, as well as a statesman, engineer, scholar, and inventor. Zhuge is an uncommon two-character compound family name. His name (or even just his surname) has become synonymous with intelligence and wit in Chinese culture.

Sun Tzu (Chinese: 孫子; pinyin: Sūn Zǐ; c. 544 – 496 BC) was a Chinese author of The Art of War (Chinese: 兵法), an immensely influential ancient Chinese book on military strategy. He is also one of the earliest realists in international relations theory.
The name Sun Tzu ("Master Sun") is an honorific title bestowed upon Sun Wu (孫武; Sūn Wǔ), the author's name. The character wu, meaning "military", is the same as the character in wu shu, or martial art. Sun Wu also has a courtesy name, Chang Qing (長卿; Cháng Qīng).
